This is an exquisitely detailed and beautiful piece of history! This antique charm, circa early 1900s, from the Art Nouveau period, and depicts cupid hammering hearts within his workshop! A truly unique piece. The cherub, cupid, has a heart he is holding down on an anvil with a tool in one hand, the other raised with a hammer ready to mould the heart into shape. He has a few hearts on the ground ready to be moulded next. Notice the background bricks, indicating his workshop is housed in a castle of some sort, his draping work apron, and wings fluttering in the background. The edge of the charm has a lovely geometric edging and swirl finish. A truly masterful piece! Stamped’800′ on the back, indicating continental silver content. Please see the second to last photo to get an estimate of size, and the very last photo shows the weight at 8.4 grams. Any questions please ask! I’m more than happy to answer any questions or provide additional photos. Check out my other items!!
